Tuesday, 8/7/08 - Day 5

G'day how are you? Good? Because we all are. As we start of this day of beautiful weather and great paddling.

As we were all having a nice sleep in this morning, next thing we know people were knocking at our doors. We all slowly climbed out of bed and found out we were going for a run at 7:30 in the morning, this was going to be a great start to the day.
After we finished our run we all went back to the BLZ and sat down and had breakfast.

As breakfast was complete we had a training session at 9:30 on the main canal doing technique and doing very complexed moves on the zoom floom. These complexed moves consisted of boat noses connecting with walls, faces connecting with poles and for some of us being upside down.

As the training session finished with lots of laughs of some of the things that had happened we all hopped off and had a rest for a few hours. That was all the training we had for the day. After a few hours the boys wanted to go to the water park. As we begged Victoria and Geoff let us go to the water park only 5 people went but it was worth it.

At the water park the boys continued with the 'Shwinging' and managed to pick up one girl. Joey insisted she went on the water slides so she agreed so Joey saw her walk up to the slid decided he would go with her ran towards the door and not realising it was a pull door ran straight into it.

After we left the water park everyone came back and had half an hour to get ready for dinner which we were going to have with the Canadians. Dinner was quite nice and for some very awkward. After dinner we went straight for ice-cream!

As we headed home Natasha and Antra decided to get the car keys and beat the H-R Crew to the car to get dibbs on the front seat. As they did Natasha couldn't run in her shoes and was tripping over all over the place. They reached there front seat to ride the whole way home.

Now we are all pumped and primed for tomorrow's full length runs / race stimulation with the other teams that are here.

As I finish this epic I would like to say the weather wasn't that beautiful and everyone was mistaken by the sun and it turned out quite cold.

Well off to bed now to get some sleep for tomorrow
Goodnight.

Ashleigh
