Well the day finally arrived and we all headed off to the airport. Josh Kippin , arrived from Western Australia the previous day and stayed with the Jones family overnight and left from Sydney with the Sydney Crew. All the boats for the Sydney members had been dropped off the day before to the freight terminal for transport on the flight.

Singapore Airlines were great with the luggage and the boats, nothing was and issue.

The Sydney Team members left from Sydney at 12:30 after being delayed for 1 hour. The remainder of the team flying from Melbourne left that afternoon. Everyone seemed to have a good flight to Singapore where we all joined up for the final leg of the trip to Frankfurt. We also picked up the Hodson Family (Lauren, Ken and Glenn) at Singapore for the final leg, they flew on a later flight out of Sydney.

The Sydney crew had about a five hour stop over while the Melbourne crew arrived latter and only had a couple of hours to pass before we all head off on the 11:50pm flight to Frankfurt. Long flight, 12 hours but it was night so it was good for the body clocks. All arrived Frankfurt at 6:00 am on Saturday.
