Sunday, 29/7/07 - Day 18

Competition Day - Finals Days Junior Pre-Worlds:

Well this was the business end of the competition with a number of the Aussie athletes making it to the Semi Finals. We had Ian Borrows Qualifying 4th and Jonathan Davis in the Mens C1, All the ladies scattered through the field and Josh Williams in the Mens K1.

Ian and Jonathan gave it their best in the C1 Men but unfortunately they missed the cut for a spot in the finals with only 10 boats going through to the Finals.

The womens K1 proved to be the most nerve racking and our ladies gave it a real shake with all the girls racing to win. This event went down to the wire, counting down the positions in the finals to the last competitor on the course with Natasha Jones only missing the finals by one position, all that was in it was that dreaded touch.

Josh Williams gave it all he had in the semi, but those touches once again are the undoing of a good run.

In summary:-
