Monday 17/7/06 - Day 24
Emmie and Roz

The day started off with a late start. As usual we had to pack the vans with twice as much gear as was physically possible to fit in. Then we had to unpack and repack them several times as various slow-pokes came down from their rooms with more bags. The same thing happens every time we leave.
The four hour drive from Ivrea to Valstagna turned into a six hour marathon; it was a great opportunity for everybody to catch up on some sleep (except for the drivers. Actually, we're not to sure about Geoff but oh well). The general equation for figuring out how long a car trip will take is to multiply the estimated time by 1.5, and then make allowances for getting lost.
So after arriving late at Valstagna we checked in at the accommodation, which was probably the nicest we've had all tour - pity we only had one night there. We then went for a great session on the local course. We made the most of our last session in Europe with most of us staying on the water for about two hours, just mucking around and having fun doing surf-ups.
Dinner was a relaxed affair, alfresco style, looking out at the mountains. It was a lovely last supper before the team starts to say their goodbyes.
