The Semi Final Racing started at 10am with the C2 men followed by K1 Women, C1 Men and finally K1 Men.

C2 Men Semi Finals

The boys had a great run with only 1 touch, a time of 129.81 placing them 18th. Well done boys. The winning time was 108.77 clean, a very fast field.

K1 Women Semi Finals

Our three girls did battle with the world's best junior and put down some good runs. Unfortunately they were not quick enough on the day and missed the cut for the final. The results were Kate Mollison - 24th with 117.65, Rosalyn Lawrence - 30th with 121.14 and Emmie Barratt - 33rd with 123.43. Great race girls, well done, you have done Australia proud. The wining semi final time for the class was 105.48.

K1 Men Semi Finals

The two Phils will front the starter this morning in the semi final of the mens K1. Both boys had great clean runs with Philip Gibbins being fastest on the day between the two with an excellent time of 98.14, Phil Mingerulli had time of 100.4, but sadly not fast enough in this hot field, the fast semi final time being 92.66 clean.. The boys were placed 21st and 30th respectively, well done!!!!

Sadly no Aussies have made the finals but all the team has competed with courage and determination, well done to all team members on your efforts over the past three days.

The afternoon was set aside for the finals, the best 10 in each class going through to compete for the crown of Junior World Champion.

Check the results page on the website for all the results of today's semi finals and finals.

Cheers for now from Slovenia … off to Tacen tomorrow to do battle on the whitewater.
